ROBERT ALTMAN DESIGN
ABOUT

Robert Altman, Founder
Robert Altman is the founder of Robert Altman Design, where his lifelong passion for design and craftmanship comes to life. His journey began in the early 1990s with an apprenticeship in fine furniture building, where he mastered the art of working with solid wood and traditional joinery techniques. After completing his apprenticeship, he opened his own shop, crafting one-of-a-kind furniture pieces featured in galleries, craft shoes, and prestigious furniture exhibits across the country, including the ACC Baltimore Craft Show and Philadelphia Furniture Show
As his career evolved, Robert expanded into exhibit and custom retail fabrication, working with a wide variety of materials such as plywood, laminate, plexi, veneer, aluminum, and steel, and mastering new tools and techniques. This experience pushed his craftsmanship to new levels, allowing him to create custom exhibit booths and retail installations, working on projects for renowned companies like Google, Salesforce, Panasonic, Adidas, TaylorMade, and Major League Baseball, as well as retail clients such as Dior, Gucci, Michael Kors, and Verizon,
To further enhance his skills, Robert went back to school to learn welding and AutoCAD courses, allowing him to take on more complex fabrication projects. Throughout his career, he has maintained his own shop, always staying true to his passion for fine furniture.
Now, as the head of Robert Altman Design, Robert is fully dedicated to designing and creating custom-fabricated pieces for both residential and commercial applications. Whether it’s a small piece of art, a functional piece of furniture, or a much larger project, he takes pride in hand-selecting materials and crafting pieces with the same care as if they were for his own home.
In his personal life, Robert enjoys spending time with his family, whether it’s grilling, relaxing around the fire put, or vacationing at the shore. He also loves hiking, biking, and taking long walks with his dogs.

After his time with Danella, Sean transitioned to work at an exhibit company, honing his skills in fabricating custom cabinetry and structures using various materials such as plywood, plexiglass, laminates, veneers, aluminum, and steel. He worked with high-profile clients such as Google, Salesforce, Boston Scientific, and Rolex, leading teams and ensuring the timely delivery of exhibit booths and retail installations
